How to Work Smart, Not Hard.

29 March 2022

There is a theory that picking a couple of tasks that will move your business forward are the ones to do first.

I read a book by Brian Tracy called 'Eat That Frog'!  So I try to get the ugly, disgusting, but valuable things out of the way first.

I have a little frog on my computer to remind me!

In an ideal work-life balance, working smart can spare you a lot of distress. It can give you more room to improve the quality of your output and get more done.

✔️
Divide your work into bite-sized portions

When tasks pile up, it can be overwhelming. We can multitask but your focus could end up all over the place. View and section the work into bite-sized portions. For example, this blog post. I divided it into parts so you and I can have an easy and comprehensive reading and writing experience. Structure your tasks and do it one part at a time. You might get things done a lot quicker without sacrificing your output.

✔️
Start with shorter tasks

When looking over your to-do list, ask yourself; What has the least amount of work? Get it done then out of the way so you can move on and focus on bigger tasks that need your time and brains.

By working smart, you can save so much energy. Try out these techniques when you work on your tasks today.
