Average UK House Price Goes Up By 11%

According to Halifax's newest house price index, the average UK house price increased by 11% last March 2022, reaching a new record of £282,753.


House prices in the United Kingdom have climbed for nine months in a row. According to Halifax, the average UK home has climbed in value by £28,113 in the last year. The increase is comparable to the average yearly wages in the UK. 


Despite the potential of rising pressure on household budgets, the narrative behind such robust house price growth remains unchanged: limited supply and strong demand.
